Mumbai, The first look of the film based on life of Dr. Manmohan Singh is revealed by Anupam Kher in his Twitter account. Kher captioned the first look – which shows his uncanny resemblance with former PM – with the caption that read, “To reinvent yourself as an actor is to challenge yourself. Looking forward to portraying #DrManmohanSingh in #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister.:)”
‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ is based on Sanjaya Baru’s book of the same name. The veteran actor shared the first poster from the film on Instagram too. In Instagram he captioned it, “Looking forward to playing the role of Ex PM #ManmohanSinghJi. #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister #Challenging#FamousBlueTurban”
Mr. Kher, sporting the trademark turban, beard and glasses, looks like a splitting image of the former Prime Minister in the picture. ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’, which is expected to release in 2018, is directed by debutante Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, produced by Sunil Bohra and the screenplay is written by National Award-winning filmmaker Hansal Mehta.

Their films Badmashiyaan directed by Amit Khanna and Time Bara Vait directed by Rahul Bhatnagar were released in 2015. Mr. Gutte began his association with cinema in 2009 with After, a post production company with high-end services. Bahul who has associated Rohit Shetty in films like Singham and Chennai Express had joined him a co-producer with VRG motion pictures.
