Port Of Spain, Indian Captain Virat Kohli seems to have moved on from the Champion’s Trophy defeat and Anil Kumble’s shadows. Spinner Kuldeep Yadav, Kumble’s favourite bowler and the man responsible for the initial rift between Kohli and Kumble has become Kohli’s “blue-eyed” boy during West Indies tour.
After match winning performance by his team, he said that now their focus is on upcoming 2019 world cup. While talking to the journalists in Port of Spain, Virat expressed his happiness at performance of Ajinkya Rahane and Kuldeep Yadav. Kuldeep Yadav is the spinner who Anil Kumble had included in the team during Australia’s tour of India without taking Virat in confidence and that led to the conflict of the titans and finally Anil Kumble resigned before India’s tour of West Indies.
Ajinkya is a prolific batsman and he can double up as bowler also so he provides balance in the team – Virat Kohli.
Virat said that the team has learned a lesson in the champion’s trophy final and mistakes are not going to be repeated. He said, “we are working on the team keeping 2019 world cup. He was happy at inclusion of Ajinkya Rahane. He said that Ajinkya is a prolific batsman and he can double up as bowler also so he provides balance in the team. If required, we can use him in the middle order also. By saying that Virat indicated that Champions Trophy owner Rohit Sharma is not yet ruled out completely.

Virat also praised Kuldeep Yadav’s performance in West Indies. He said, “Kuldeep is a tricky spinner and he can turn the ball both ways. His googly’s are lethal and he will be one of the main weapon of the team in coming days.” He said, “Its very difficult to play Kuldeep. I have faced him in IPL.
Virat hopped that the home crowd will keep supporting the team as they had been doing over the years. The support of the Indian fans been very encouraging.
